Welcome to Day 4!
Now that you know how to stand out using your favorite communication styles, let’s look at what makes you stand out for being different than others in your field. (This is what people mean when they say differentiate your business or position your brand.) Today is one of my favorite topics – U.S.P. – but it didn’t used to be!
U.S.P. used to confuse the heck out of me when I thought about it as your Unique Selling Proposition (which is what most of the industry calls it). But once I realized that U.S.P. is really talking about your story, it made so much more sense. So, now I call it your Unique Storytelling Perspective instead. Let’s look at a handful of examples of what this means and how to apply it to your unique business:

ACTION STEPS:
Your INNER work for today is to explore and play around with different ways to incorporate stuff you love to do (and often, comes naturally) into what you offer. Love crystals and gemstones, but you’re a tax accountant? Have some fun with that!! There are PLENTY of crystal loving business owners who need tax help and would trust you more than your non-woo competition!
Try different combinations until you find something that feels aligned and that you’d be THRILLED to deliver to your soul-mate clients. At the end of the day, it’s all about what feels good to you, what sets you apart, and then how you bring that inner piece… out.
Your OUTER work for today is to create a post that demonstrates how working with you has its own special benefits. You’ll get a better response if you show instead of tell, but whatever you need to do right now to get the word out is what’s most important.
